Connacht Table Tennis Senior Open
Hi peeps. This weekend on the 11th and 12th of October 2014, three of UCC Table Tennis Club players will be representing UCC in the annual Connacht Senior Open which is taking place in Castlebar, Mayo. The representatives are Declan O’Brien, Alex Cooney (both undergraduates) and Darragh Buckley (postgraduate student). After performing well in the intervarsities last February, each bringing home a silver medal in the team’s event, our hopes go high that they will do well in this tournament. Declan, (national ranked #7 in Men’s Senior category) who had recently won both the Men’s Seniors and Under-21 category in Beech Hill Open, is expected to do well in this tournament too. Let’s cheer for our heroes and hope that they will bring home the titles for UCC!
